This book is dedicated to the one's I love!
This book is dedicated to my daughters: Clorisse, Karrie & Amanda for facing the dragons and conquering their learning disabilities, which inspired the title of this book, “Upside Over”. The easiest way for them to understand, if something were upside down, you turn the upside over, and it’s right! To my son Eric, who was the true inspiration behind this book! Without those little voices in his head encouraging him to do these things, I wouldn’t have much to share. I guess I need to thank those little voices too! To the spirit that guided me, my mother who taught us beyond the darkness there is light, to always reach for more. She taught us to take control of a situation that is out of control, to say good-bye with dignity and grace, to always leave them with a smile and a tear on their face. To my husband and best friend Dan, who was always there in the background pushing me, encouraging me and loving me. People joke that behind every good man is a good woman; the opposite also holds true, the reality is to make a relationship work it takes two really good and committed people. We haven’t been committed yet, but we’re working on it, there’s still time!

I just wanted to make a point here. My children call me on a regular basis. They thank me all the time for being an inspiration to them, for being supportive and for giving them the courage to achieve more than they ever thought they could. What I want to point out here, and what most children don't realize, is that they are the inspiration. They expect that we as parents must set examples for them to follow. They look to us for guidence and tollerance. They look to us for instruction and discipline. They force us to be better than we ever thought we could be, so I want to thank them for putting on the pressure and making me be more than I ever envisioned I could be. We see ourselves though our children's eyes, and if we are lacking, we have the option to improve. Koodo's kids, I love you!
